As you know, in its simplest form, a grayscale is a color spectrum that contains a range from light to dark. For our inaugural playlist, I wanted to capture that at its very core. I wanted to provide a playlist that went from light to dark effortlessly. That means you can go from upbeat hymns, like “White Nights” by Oh Land, to songs you scream in the car with your besties, like “Hands Clean” by Alanis Morissette, to somber, reflective ballads, like “Weight in Gold” by Gallant featuring the Ex Mr. Klum (Seal). And of course no playlist would be complete without at least one powerhouse anthem, like “Cheers to the Fall” by Andra Day.
Enjoy songs from yesterday, today, and tomorrow in the first of our TGS Monthly Playlist Series. We hope you can listen to this before a big interview, on a road trip, or just at the gym. As women, we are multi-faceted and we, at TGS, firmly believe that our playlists should reflect that.
