At the end of every month we will be doing a TGS round up of favorites products, entertainment, photos, basically anything that we are enjoying or inspired by.
Takeya Water Bottle // My product this month is my 40oz Takeya water bottle. It actually keeps my water freezing cold (much better than my S’well water bottle ever did). There was a sweet 2-pack deal that may still be available at your local Costco, but if not, you can still find them on Amazon or on their website. – Sally
SNS // Signature Nail Systems also known as SNS is my new go to nail treatment. SNS is becoming more popular in Australia as it’s healthier than shellac or acrylic and does not require the damage of UV light to hold the color. Instead, a natural nail powder is used repeatedly which makes the nails look more natural. Now I only need to go to the salon every 3-4 weeks as I find the SNS is stronger on the nail and lasts much longer. I will take the natural and healthier option any day! – Kat
Chloe Eau De Parfum // I received my first big girl eau-de parfum, Chloe signature’s scent as a gift and I am in LOVE. It’s fresh and lightly floral with a rose bouquet scent but powerful enough to last all day long at work. This is my first ‘parfum’ (which has a higher concentrate of oils) as I’ve always been an eau-de-toilette fan. I never thought the day would come where I prefer the more mature scents. – Kat
- Nordstrom Anniversary Sale // Hayley did a wrap up of a bunch of her favorite NSale products yesterday. Check them out here.
- Malbec // My new favorite red wine comes from Argentina or sometimes Chile in South America. If you’re bored drinking the same Shiraz/Syrah then give this great alternative a try. It’s almost dark purple color is delicious with plump fruity notes like cherries, blackberries, or plums. Malbec can have a spice and earthy aroma with cocoa, molasses, coffee, violet, or even tabacco hints. This wine pairs great with any umami like meat, cheese, and curries. Malbec is so good there is a Malbec World Day celebrated around the world dedicated to drinking this beautiful wine and you better believe I will be in on it next year! – Kat
Stranger Things (Season 1) // OH. MY. GOSH. Just watch it. It’s a bit scary, which I know is a turn off to many people, but find a buddy or turn on all the lights. This is required binge-viewing. 80s fashion, Winona Ryder, stunningly talented children, science fiction, a soundtrack to murder for, and plot twists out the wazoo…What more do you need! – Sam
This Is What You Came For – Calvin Harris ft Rihanna // I shamelessly jam to this song so hard. It’s one of those songs of the summer that you cannot escape and low key don’t want to. – Sarah
Lifted – Palmistry // Palmistry has crafted the perfect song for the summer. They show a lot of restraint in not having a pronounced “beat-drop” moment. Instead, “Lifted” is an amuse-bouche; it’s a tease of a song that gets you up, ready, and slowly moves your booty in circles without you even realizing it. I swear as soon as the song is done you’ll be scrambling to play it again as quickly as possible. – Sam
- Let Me Love You – Chris Lane // This newbie country guy covered the iconic 2004 Mario song. The second the first few bars started playing I SCREAMED because this was one of the defining songs of my awkward middle school dances. – Sarah
- Wild – Troye Sivan ft. Alessia Cara // I LOVE THIS SONG. It just feels like summer in a bottle. – Sarah
Intimacy Idiot by Isaac Oliver // This collection of stories, essays, poems, recipes, etc. is pure brilliance. It takes a lot for a book to legitimately make me L O L, but Isaac Oliver does it with ease. Though the book mainly pertains to gay men, I believe anyone with an open mind and open sense of humor will enjoy. Filled with wise crack remarks and painfully vulnerable moments, this book is a breeze that will give you an unintentional ab workout. – Sam
And don’t worry, we saved the best for last.
