Today we’re going to do a little review on a few Pixi Beauty products. Pixi was founded in England by Petra Strand in 1999 with the backbone of the brand being skincare. I bought three of the brand’s most talked about products and have been testing them out over the past few weeks. I am very happy to report that two of the three are now in my daily rotation. Yay Pixi!
Concealing Concentrate – The Pixi concealer has gotten decent reviews around the web so I was very excited to try it out. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t love it. As far as packaging, the pot is really tiny which I was not a fan of and there seemed to be a very small amount of product per package when compared to other brands. Under eye coverage on me was not the best and I had a hard time blending it out. I will be sticking to other concealers for the time being.
Glow Tonic – This was the product I was most excited to try. For a lot of beauty junkies, this is a HG product. (HG is holy grail for you newbies.) Glow Tonic is a toner that promises smoother, clearer and brighter skin after use. I’ve been building my skincare routine over the past year but have been extremely hesitant to incorporate a toner because of a horrific experience with Proactiv as a tween. My sensitive skin does not do well with acidic skin products so this was a leap for me to even try but I am SO GLAD I did. The Glow Tonic has made a huge difference in my skin’s brightness and my breakouts (especially around my period) have become much more manageable. For my fellow sensitive skin humans, fear not because this toner is super super gentle. I use Glow Tonic once a day in the evenings after I wash my face with my Clarisonic and before I put on my night serum.
Glow Mist – Glow Mist was a product I was pleasantly surprised by. I hadn’t read a ton of reviews on it but had been looking for a setting spray that wasn’t as intense as my ride or die Urban Decay All Nighter spray since summer was quickly approaching. Glow Mist can be used on it’s own as a refresh during the day or as a setting spray after you finish your makeup. It is super light but gets the job done and I’ve found myself using it more and more in the summer especially as I’ve only been wearing tinted moisturizer rather than full foundation.
Overall, Glow Tonic and Glow Mist have made it into my daily rotation and I would highly recommend them both. Price point for both is super affordable at $15 a pop and you can buy them both at Pixi Beauty online or at your local Target. Happy shopping and clear skin for all.
