I was drooling over this shoot. I have such a soft spot for anything ballet related, I find it so breathtaking and gorgeous. These lovely dresses combined with the grace of a ballet dancer creates a very delicate and feminine story.
Elizabeth Kennedy has been on my radar since last year’s NYFW when Kaitlin and I both left drooling over her gowns and this season is no exception. I mean the volume alone that these gowns get is absolutely insane. My favorite look is Look 10 for the color and the flower trim along the bust line.
This Jeffrey Dodd collection caught my eye for the clean lines and geometric patterns. I usually hate a head to toe matching look but I am very on board for the all over yellow in Look 10.
My beloved Posh Spice. This entire collection was very very pastel and these two looks were my favorite of the bunch. That lavender pantsuit is to die for.
Sies Marjan was a new to me designer and I was fawning over the gorgeous red gold color palette of these three looks. This collection was all in the details for me; the pockets in Look 5, the bunching in Look 9 and the metallics in Look 14.
Give me movement or give me DEATH. A bit dramatic but y’all know I live, breathe, sneeze, gasp for any dress that moves like water and these did it for me.
DVF, an actual living legend. This collection felt a bit edgy, Miami-ish to me but I was into it. Lots of slouchy pants and again with the geometric patterns.
Ok just had to come here to say that I would wear Look 24 every day of my entire life. High rise flare pants and flowing sleeves YES MAMA.
This Dennis Basso show was like a Moroccan dream. The jewel tones, the patterns, the SHINE in each of the fabrics. The high neck of Look 44 is the perfect dress to wear on the beach and now all I want to do is book a tropical vacation.
Dreamy dresses with New York City as the catwalk makes for one gorgeous shoot. Personal favorite is the patterns and contrasting black and white of Look 31. Can we also talk about these adorable flats each of the models are wearing?
Zimmerman continues to be one of my favorites to watch each season. Very into the floral print in Look 23 for a spring outfit.
OSCAR. DID. THAT. I couldn’t even attempt to narrow down my favorites in this season’s collection but I did my very best. Such clean crisp silhouettes but with unexpected flourishes (glitter in both Look 36 and 37) or insane illusions (Look 41) and ending with an ombre stunner in Look 52.
First of all, OBSESSED with these models. The older woman in Look 3 is absolutely stunning. My favorite of this collection was Look 14 because hello house dress.
This was such a soft, natural feeling collection aided by the shoot location. Very California cool chic with a bit of 70s influence. I need those cloth headbands like I need air.
I LOVE ANNA SUI. Every season she brings it and she brings it hard and this season was a bit celestial influenced which I DIE OVER. Do you see the moon and the stars in Look 2? Do you see all the fringe? Do you see the perfection that is Gigi Hadid in the closing look??? Look 53 is an actual perfect outfit. I have to mention the makeup look as well because the subtle sparkles under each model’s eyes are the most beautiful accessory to this collection.
Carolina really did the damn thing with her color palette this season. So many brights for spring and summer and quite a few simple patterns. Look 43 is my ride or die and while not all may be into the buttons down the front I am very into them and think they add a really interesting finishing touch.
The is something so fun about the Rosie Assoulin collection. That polka dot print jumpsuit brought so much joy to my life as did the double ruffles in Look 33.
I know I have fawned over many collections this NYFW but Reem Acra takes the overall cake for me. They are giving me jewel tones, embroidery, florals, clean lines, literally every single design aspect I love in fashion. If you forced me to pick one favorite it would be Look 28 – florals, beading, teal, movement, all of the above.
You want Miami vibes, Haney will GIVE YOU Miami vibes. Also that smokey eye is the real deal and I will be trying to replicate it in the next few days.
Oooooh girl serving me that leather fringe realness YAAAASSSSS.
This collection is gorgeous but more than that I was very into the hair and makeup look. Clean up-do, bare face and a swipe of bright red on the lips can never do you wrong.
Four words: millennial pink and capes.
Alice + Olivia came up with the dreamiest summer collection consisting of brights, flowy fabric and fun prints.
I’m not usually a huge fan of Coach but I was very into this grunge rock heavy collection they presented this season. The leather jackets are insanely stunning and the pocket embroidery on the denim adds a fun extra feature to each outfit.
This shoot is GORGEOUS even though I don’t for a second believe these models were able to balance in heels on a swing. Please take note of that fab read smokey eye too.
Marchesa, Marchesa my beloved Marchesa you never let me down. My witchy soul wants to live inside the opening look and my inner salsa woman wants to live inside Look 27.
Jenny Packham is an actual goddess and everything she designs is fit for a queen (literally because Duchess Kate wears her designs on the reg). This collection was a bit more moody broody than her usual offerings but I am into it regardless. So much shiny metallic so little time.
