Milan has officially taken the title of my favorite week of fashion month. The bright colors, the whimsical designs, DOLCE & GABBANA. If you missed it, check out both of our NYFW recaps here and here as well as our LFW recap here.
SAS: Gucci is the perfect way to kick off MFW. Bright color pairings, metallics and SHOULDERS. Do you see these perfect dramatic shoulders? I can’t get enough of them.
SAS: Oh girl YAS this collection. Texture was the standout element for me in this collection, feathers, scales, glitter, the whole nine.
SAS: Small details like lace and beading make this collection memorable.
SAS: Not crazy about the socks with heels combo but the rich floral designs on top of the black fabric is WOW.
SAS: The dreamy romantic collection you have been waiting for. Soft, floral and pastel.
SAS: It is so difficult to make a black dress feel new and different during fashion week but the dress in Look 39 feels fresh, chic and sleek.
SAS: I just had to include these side by side because the color contrast is too good to pass up.
SAS: CHIC GLITTER REALNESS COMING RIGHT UP. 10/10 need Look 15 for New Years.
SAS: Even without a runway this collection feels perfectly at home. I came for the scrunched up bomber jackets but I stayed for the black fringe long sleeve shirt.
SAS: Not exactly every day wear but these patterns were way too good to not include.
SAS: Mini skirts for summer forever.
SAS: Personally just saving this outfit for the color paring inspo. Stripes and millennial pink is always good.
SAS: This Etro collection, more than any other, SCREAMED fall tones to me. Even though this is technically a spring/summer collection we are going into fall in real time so I am totally gravitating toward these deep jewel tones.
SAS: I LOVE FOR RESTLESS SLEEPERS. I honestly look forward to this collection every fashion week because they are the most insane extra pajamas (yes these are literal pajamas) you will ever lay eyes on and I want 100 more of them.
SAS: If you didn’t audibly gasp when the Supers showed up to close the Versace show then what are you even doing reading this recap. Setting that aside for a bit, this is the most Versace collection to ever Versace. The prints, the bold colors, the knee high boots with mini dresses, the glamour, it is all so good and SO VERSACE. The Supers paid homage to Gianni for the 20th anniversary of his death and my god what a way to end a show with these literal icons.
SAS: Here for the fringe ombre skirt and that is IT.
SAS: Like I said above, it is very hard to do basic looks at fashion week unless they are very very well constructed and the gowns in Look 15 and 21 stood out to me for that exact reason. Simple gowns but with gorgeous construction in movement make both of these very memorable.
SAS: My new summer house dress/robe.
SAS: Patiently waiting for a celebrity to show up to the next award show wearing one of these gorgeously layered pieces of art.
SAS: I had to end on D&G because they were my all time favorite of this year’s Milan Fashion Week. The entire collection revolved around bright colors combined with a playing card theme combined with insanely gorgeous headpieces. Form fitting lace, pantsuits, whimsical gowns, metallic mesh, a gown made out of a literal pea fabric, this collection has it all (and clocks in at over 100 total looks). I eat, breathe, sneeze, live, and die for Dolce & Gabbana and this season exceeded my expectations.
SAS: To close this out I had to include a few of the D&G beauty looks because they were so good. A clean face embellished with a strong brow, dramatic cat eye, pink blush and a bold lip is a face fit for a literal queen (as shown by the crowns).
