SAS: These are much more fall leaning tones than spring/summer but I am very into the leather combination fabric in the leather jacket and also that gorgeous burgundy color dress with the wrap bow.
KJS: OH boy. I always have a hard time with LFW because my style is much more romantic than a lot of the collections in London, but Orla Kiely really killed it for me. The vintage looks are EV-ER-Y-THING. They’re a mix of 40’s and 70’s, and while I never would have thought those two eras would blend together, they’re living here in perfect harmony. Looks 8 and 16 are my favorite. The vibrant colors, the deep jewel tones mixed with pops of marigold… Oh boy. Stunning.
SAS: WOW I loved this collection. The color palette alone was really truly gorgeous and I thought the pieces were very wearable on a day to day which isn’t always the case for London ready to wear. My absolute favorite look was Look 28, the striped sweater with a midi skirt is basically my fall uniform as is.
SAS: Had to put these pieces in here purely to showcase how stunning the structure is. I mean that crazy belt contraption of Look 29 is INSANE.
KJS: Quick note: notice the variety of colors and styles between these looks. Ralph & Russo’s collection is a wonderful mix of edgy and romantic. The colors and textures in looks 4 and 45 are romantic and soft, but the cuts and structure of the dresses are modern. Y’all know I’m a sucker for some transparent fabrics.
SAS: WOW WOW WOW this was hands down my favorite London collection this season. You’ve got your movement dresses, you’ve got your high waisted pants, you’ve got your pastels, you’ve got it ALL.
KJS: YES. These looks are so fascinating to look at. Every time you look at an outfit, you see something new (see the rainbows on the ankles of Look 15?). I love it. Look 8 is probably my favorite in the group with it’s giant bug-eyed glasses, bright floral prints, and mixtures of blues. I’ve been mixing my blue tones and patterns lately, and this is giving me SO much inspiration.
SAS: RAINBOW COLLECTION. I adore when collections go from one end of the color spectrum to the other and this one managed to do it VERY WELL. My favorite is the dark emerald green in Look 17.
KJS: I don’t know what that hat is in Look 13, but I love it. Mixing patterns is a huge theme in Duro Olowu’s collection, and it’s obviously done right.
SAS: I agree with Kaitlin 100%. Messing with patterns is a tricky business but this collection really nailed it. I also enjoy that this shoot just looks like it was done in a really fancy modern living room.
SAS: Topshop tends to run very extreme but I found myself enjoying these two looks from this season’s offerings. I would definitely find a place to wear that bright red leather jacket.
SAS: THE MOST asymmetrical silhouettes and I am on board for it. The deep purple of Look 25 is such a stunning jewel tone for fall and Look 29 literally looks like moving water I can’t stop staring at it.
KJS: Looks 24 and 37 are so dreamy and feminine. While the whole collection is colorful and fun (check out Look 29), the end of the collection is softened a bit with more neutral tones, some pretty chiffon, and delicate beading. It’s a dream.
SAS: I LOVED this Temperley London collection, it was a close second only to Ralph & Russo up above. First things first I have to mention the beauty look because I thought it was genius. A very European beach vibe with clean skin and a bright red orange lip. Look 29 is actually insane I don’t even know how they made that technicolor shine like it does.
KJS: That blouse in Look 8 is absolutely amazing. The billowy sleeves are perfect for a winter-turning-spring day.
SAS: SLEEVES. SLEEVES. GIVE ME ALL THE SLEEVES. Also brb ordering Look 28 ASAP as my new house dress.
SAS: Futuristic Bohemian Chic and shocking to no one, I am on board.
KJS: OH YES LOOK 3 AND 24! Here is the romance my little heart was dying for. I just don’t even have words for how much I absolutely adore these looks. Again, sheer dresses are back – this time with some modern-princess sleeves and dark seams. Also, can we talk about the T-strap heels? Can we bring these back? Because I’m down.
SAS: I am actually leaning more toward the jumpsuits on this collection because the cuts are so damn clean. I am very into the mauve pink color and the lines of Look 30 it just all looks so pulled together.
KJS: This is everything I could hope to be in the world.
SAS: Bare feet, high low skirt, witch shirt, glitter inner corner eye makeup, just all of my life goals in one look.
SAS: One of my favorite niche fashion looks is warrior princess chic and Look 3 looks like melted armor so I’m all in.
SAS: I just really loved this entire shoot. A very clean backdrop helped these colors really pop. The pink in Look 9 is peak spring and the little feather tassels add on a little oomf to make this one of my favorite SS18 looks.
KJS: LFW was all about the 40’s this year, and I’m such a fan. These high-waisted tea-length skirts and high-collars make me feel like I’m living in the movie Pearl Harbor. The barely-there makeup and messy hair make these otherwise fancy looks feel like they could be worn on a daily basis.
KJS: I had to throw this in, because honestly same. This is my life in one picture. This is it. But also, this outfit is cute as hell. Makes me want to dress nicer when I go to class.
